CB200 “Shotgun”

This is our first full-on project. It was finished in 2011 and is still with us. It’s a cb200 with a cl200 exhaust system. We modified the frame with new shock mounts and heartshaped triangles in the subframe. Everything was done in-house. The rims are from a Derbi Senda moped and the front brake and clutch were both upgraded to hydraulics. The wooden fenders are also made in-house by using 3 layers of thin wood,…

CB650Z “Black Bastard”

Full-custom build for Sander. This bike is also featured on the BikeShed; http://thebikeshed.cc/2014/01/05/outsiders-black-bastard This bike is a 1981 CB650z and they’ve given it the uncontroversial nickname, Black Bastard. They found the donor in the Dutch version of Craigslist; ‘Marktplaats’. It came from a guy who had wanted to do his own build, but divorce got in the way of his finances (don’t get me started) and the bike had to go before he even got…

Full-on build for Linda. Tis bike is also featured on the BikeShed. http://thebikeshed.cc/2014/01/29/outsiders-cb500/ This story was written in 2013 – “About a year ago, our good friend Linda came to us with a wish. At that time,…

CB250 “Barely Legal”

A full-custom build for Ab. This bike is also on the BikeShed; http://thebikeshed.cc/2014/03/25/outsiders-mc-barely-legal/ The bike is built around a Honda CB250, but this one punches above it’s weight in stance and attitude. It started out as a modest build through Ab who came to them via Facebook. “He wanted a simple tune-up and some small mods. We met in Utrecht and talked about the bike and his vision with it.” Ab had bought the bike…

NX650 “Bonny ❤ Clyde”

NX650 full-on build for ourselves. This bike is still with us. This bike is als featured on the BikeShed; The donor is a 1989 model and was stumbled upon by Jene on Marktplaats for practically nothing. The bike was in pretty good order and the few bits that were missing; were parts that would have been ditched anyway, so they collected the bike, in grandma’s car… as you do, but it wouldn’t fit; so they…

GN125 “Son of a Beach”

GN125 full build for Lex. This build is also featured on the BikeShed; http://thebikeshed.cc/2014/09/03/outsiders-son-beach There’s something undeniably cool about ripping along a beach on a bike. Be it Burt Monro racing the greasers on his Indian, the madness of the Le Touquet Beach Race or even Guy Martin sweating his gonads off on a push bike on Pendine. It’s such an odd thing to be doing for the majority of us that it’s fascinating. The…
